Since the very first tests run in the laboratory that Dr. Benito Oliver Rodés installed in his pharmacy in 1902, we have the analyses of mineral and medicinal waters.
Some of the bottles from those tests were conserved just as they were: full, closed and labelled.
His son, Dr. B. Oliver Suñé also collected bottles from tests, and in around 1950 Benito Oliver-Rodés Clapés embarked on a systematic quest throughout Spain and abroad for bottles and other water containers, with the ambition of building a genuine museum. Through the years friends and co-workers have also helped him to expand the collection.
The containers collected include bottles made of glass, plastics (PVC, polyethylene, and polycarbonate), Tetra Brik, tins and other materials.

MClassified by brand and country, the containers on display range from one or two capacities to up to 12 different capacities, carbonated and non-carbonated waters, in old and new formats.
In a separate display you will find the oldest containers. Predominantly found in German spas, some of these bottles are over 200 years old. This section also boasts some very unique bottles, given their shape or marks in relief or with special features. One such example is the first 5-litre glass bottle ever made.
You will see over 4500 containers from 115 different countries.
Displayed alongside the collection is the original office of our founder, with the old ledgers and countless documents and old lab material
